
Randolph L. Tom founded Dynasty in 1988 to provide advisory services to global companies operating in the wireless communications sector. During the course of his career, Randy has been intimately involved in raising capital and advising on the development of the some of the world’s groundbreaking technologies. His clients have included companies involved in the development of the first wireless communications system utilizing a wristwatch receiver, the first game console system that used both cartridges and CD based games and the first satellite based communications system for both global voice and internet communications. For these and other clients, Randy has counseled members of the board of directors and executive officers of both public and private companies about all aspects of corporate development, including creating strategic working partnerships with foreign governments, state controlled enterprises and related companies that form part of the architecture of international commerce.
Based on his own substantial experience in the board room, Randy has been instrumental in the construction of best practices regarding corporate governance and the subsequent implementation required of his clients to comply with the increasingly complex body of regulations governing securities and corporate law.
With his long history of working in the US, Asia and other countries, Randy is an expert on successfully building substantial long-term relationships that span many years with entrepreneurs, legal, accounting and investment banking professionals, venture capitalists, private equity and hedge funds,foreign and domestic government officials. At the same time, Randy actively counsels new, creative and entrepreneurial start-ups in the mobile gaming and healthcare, cloud, artificial intelligence and biotech sectors. In articulating a client's value proposition, Randy's advice covers a wide variety of subjects, including market/product evaluation, potential financing sources, marketing and financial long-term planning in the mist of severe global competition. He has established for the firm a first rate team of professionals that can be rapidly assembled and brought to bear, including by serving in interim management roles in a distressed circumstance.

From 2011-2014, Randy served as an an Entrepreneur in Residence at Plug & Play Tech Center, a leading global accelerator based in SV that specializes in growing entrepreneurial tech start-ups, whose network includes over 300 tech companies, 180 investors and a community of leading universities and corporate partners.
Beginning his career as a corporate/securities lawyer with Norton Rose Fulbright’s New York office, with further legal experience as the head of the Asia-Pacific practice of a prominent international law firm in Silicon Valley, Mr. Tom completed his JD, MBA and BS degrees with honors at New York University. As the sole selected member to graduate from NYU's accelerated joint degree program at the age of 24, Mr. Tom is admitted to practice law in New York, California and the District of Columbia (ret.). A native New Yorker, Randy paid for his education through academic scholarships, part-time work as a writer on contemporary music, a local radio personality and the Executive Assistant to William S. Paley, the late Founder, Chairman and CEO of CBS Inc.
He is married to Dr. Linda Wong, DVM and has resided in the Bay Area for more than 25 years. He is the proud father of two seemingly well-adjusted college students and provides a home to the family’s Australian cattle dog who has trained Randy to fetch when prompted.
